These articles, written by Dr. Yu, were originally published in The Healthy Planet newspaper in St. Louis, MO. They are short, easy to read and provide a brief introduction to very important concepts of health and illness from an Alternative Medicine viewpoint. Our illnesses are usually a result of multiple causes, not just a single cause. This concept is illustrated in Article 6 which encompasses the individual causes of illness discussed in the previous articles as well as additional causes. This article also presents an overview of how illness can be related to our environment. Determining the multiplicity of causes, as opposed to simply evaluating symptoms, is part of the reason Dr. Yu uses multiple diagnostic processes (as shown on the " About Our Practice " page) to evaluate each person's individual biological terrain. Multiple causes of illness create the need to use a variety of therapies as also shown on that page.
